Towed my 5er for the first time today, Mama wanted it here so she could clean it. Don't quite have 1000 miles but only towed it about 12 miles. WOW what a difference between my 2000, F250, 7.3 and my new truck, pulled like Butter. I think I am going to like towing with this truck.....
Great to hear! I can't wait till my 40' gooseneck is done and I can see how well my new 6.7 does. It will be towing 20k almost every day.

You should be ok the manual says to not tow until 500 miles. The engine break in is 1000. That's good to hear, I'm looking forward to seing this too but I need to have my fifth wheel hitch installed first.

I did read the 500 miles but I wanted to wait the 1000 miles. I love this truck....
I was thinking of waiting until 1000 miles too and by the looks of it that will happen by the time i get my hitch installed. I'm at about 900 miles now.
Sure next trip will not be until summer is over too hot. We are out about once a month after summer. We have people come wheel with us from a far away as Canada.

he, he...yeah, I just thought your SN was very appropriate and somehow I thought maybe you picked up that nickname from friends when they saw you coming with your set-up.
Assuming you are always looking to make sure there is a clear pull-through...but have you been in the situation where you had to reverse that set-up?
Has anyone had any issue with the truck not sensing that a trailer is plugged in? It worked the first 2 times I towed my boat, but now this past weekend it didn't pick it up. Any ideas?

Assuming your boat has trailer brakes, the trailer brake circuit detects there is some electrical resistance and hence activates the brakes and the rear view assist so it won't squack at you when you go into R. I have to periodically give the 7 pole plug a little wiggle to get it to recognize my 14K flat bed.
