2011 Bug Shield

Just a heads up to those who may be looking for a bug shield for your new SuperDuty.

I ordered the Stampede Military (Navy) for my truck. I did this thru Real Truck. The military version of this shield is a special order, mine took 16 days to make and ship. I put it on my platinum white yesterday and it is awesone. I can take pictures for anyone interested. I'll have to send to your email as I don't know how to post pictures here.

They have all branches of the military and a POW-MIA. I was very pleased with quality and easy to install. It is a Vigilate Premium (VP) in the specialty category. It looks like there are a few other choices in this series as well.

Sorry I took so long, Jim. We went out to dinner to celebrate my daughters anniversary tonight. Nice bug shield! I like the colors. They seem so bright. Good Job, my friend.

Thanks Ron, I really appreciate you being my own personal picutue posting person!! Ha Ha. There was a nice eagle and flag shield too, for those not wanting military logo. And a couple more that I can't remember what they were. I hope you had a great evening with your family. I'm getting close to seeing what this truck will do with the 5th wheel behind it, I'll keep you posted. Thanks again...

Anytime my friend. I admire your service for our country. My father was in the Navy from '44 -'46. He passed away two years ago Father's Day.

I know you will be happy with your truck when you head west.

That is really nice and I extend my gratitude to you as well for your service.

I have a question though, besides looking nice, do those deflectors do anything, how do they work?

I had a military shield on my 04 F250 and I think it "deflected" bugs on the windshield. It seemed as though any bugs that did hit were high enough up on the windshield as to not be in direct line of vision. As far as the new shield goes, it is a little higher than the old one, so hope it will work out to do as good a job. This new one is a Stampede brand and the old was EGR. So, not comparing apples t apples here. I'll know in about 10 days exactly how good it works. I have to admit I just thought they look awesome. Also will be finding out how this new truck, hitch and everything else performs as we make our first tow. California here I come!!!!

First off, I wish to thank you servicemen for protecting our country!

I have the smoked deflector on my new F-250 Lariat Diesel which I bought last September with now 9000 miles. I figure my deflector has saved my windshield twice now from rocks. I heard them hit the roof and later found the scares on the paint but polished out, so all is well.. I saved a few hundred dollars being I carry $1000.00 deductible on my insurance...
Thank you men for the posts!
