I just did my first "real" tow of 255 miles from NJ to Lake George. My trailer is 30 feet from bumper to coupler and weighs in at about 7500 lbs. Man, the Super Duty handled my trailer and all of our junk like a champ. I came from an '06 1/2 ton truck which I liked a lot but like a lot of you said, this bad boy was built to tow.
We hit some. Wind and rain but it was a very relaxing, enjoyable day of driving.
Lake George is about an hour north from me, there is a few really nice campgrounds up there, I always stay at the Lake George RV Park. That place is top notch, close to the village and amusement park, and there are lots of activities there for families.
Dual Wheels, If ya like cars the weekend after Labor day the village hosts the Adirondack Nationals, a ton of cars show up, and its good times. I will be there if you do come up we can meet for a couple cold beers.
Welcome to New York!!!
If your looking for a nice place to eat look up The Ridge Terrace, its alittle off the beaten path but well worth the ride to get there.
