towed for the first time with new truck

i maid my maiden voyage with new truck this past weekend towing 5000lb boat towed ok there was a 40 mile per hr cross wind got about 11.3 mpg with 5.4 eng and 373 l/s rear end

were you driving in Drive or Overdrive? that's pretty good mileage either way for towing 5k lbs!!!

I get about the same milage. Between 11 and 12 mpg with the 5.4 engine, towing a 5k lb boat. I've done this about 5 or 6 times now and the milage has always been between 11 and 12 mpg.
