It does look good - wouldn't mind having one with the new 6.7! I'll be following pdombrowicki 's new thread. - https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...uys-think.html

I see that he has the 2011 rear wheel openings/panel to match the front. I think some of his first 2011's had the old wheel openings. Seeing the updated 2011 makes me want one with the 6.7...can you imagine how great that would be?

Yes, that exactly correct. His older ones had the older fender flares on the back but this new one incorporates the newer fender flares and it looks damn good. His 08-10 Excursions already look dated compared to the new 2011s...they look so much better. It would be a tough decision to decide between an 05 Ex and an 11 Ex.

If you had the coin, it would be an easy decision. My 2005 ex is fairly stock, and under warranty until December 2012. At that time I have to decide if I want to spend the $10 grand it will cost to make it exactly how I want it (EGR delete, studs, SCT tuner, spring swap, nicer wheels, updated radio/head unit) or just say screw it and buy a 2012 from Tim. I figure I will probably let go of mine and do the latter, even though mine only has 65,000 miles on it now. I figure by that time I will be playing catch up on my current one with ball joints, front end bushings, 4X4 hubs, etc that I just won't want to put that much into a 7 year old vehicle. Truck has been perfect thus far though. No complaints.

That is a very valid point. I didn't think of it that way. I was comparing the 05 vs. the 11 on how they look alone. I just don't like how the 08-10 look anymore.
