Seth, my young truck friend, i think maybe you missed the point i was trying to make! or did you just take the bypass around the point?

ok:
"newly wed"
it's dark out at ten
its hot outside
"newly wed"
do you watch TV in bed?

"newly wed"

i really didn't want to be anymore suggestive on the point i was trying to make, so thats all from me!

I gotta get goin to work! Have a great day!

edit: lol i remember when the term "wife" sounded wierd too! you will get used to it!

I just wish it would cool down.
It was 104 degrees at 10 pm last night
Hey, send a little heat my way.......it's like 60 degrees in my shop and not much warmer outside. If I open the doors the mosquitos eat me alive....

I admire your tenacity.....does the astro have a frame or is it unibody? What about your original idea of using an F-1 frame and astro front end. Did you measure to see if it is too wide? Can't imagine it is wider than a 3/4 ton truck....

Ill take 60 degrees anyday.
but I do hate mosquitoes
The astro subframe and the f1 frame can be done too,It will be my escape plan.Moparron Did the astro subframe and f1 frame he is on the HAMB.
The only reason I am going trough this is that I really want DWD.
I can get bigger tires and I just like the look better.

Sheet metal

Thanks for the sheet metal pointer. That may come in very handy. As for moving your donor. If you're on a hard surface, could you just use a floor jack?

Update:
After towing the donor truck to my place it started getting too hot so I decided to stay inside and cool off for the rest of the day.
I logged into FTE and The power of the darkside "talked to me" and it told me to get off my *** and finish what I started.
So I GOMA.
since I could not back the truck into the driveway due to a flat tire and No steering box,I started to disassemble the truck on the street.
Lets say that some friends felt bad for me and tried to help me move the truck under the shade so I could work on it(still 95 degrees under the shade.)
-fixed the flat tire
-made a steering system that failed horribly
-30 minutes ,4 friends and a truck later could not move it.
-BUT it only took 1 drunk friend and I moved it in 5 minutes.
-4 hours after that the cab was the last thing on the chassis and it was ready to come off so I called SOME help.2 brothers and 1 friend showed up and the rest is history.
The question now is.WHERE DO I START NOW????

I wanna hear the rest of this story....

Seriously...I would try to slide the cab forward and see how it fits.

I agree, I would put the cab and fenders in place to see how it will fit. Then you can sit back with a cold one (because it's hot) and dream how good it's going to look!
