My RHD conversion is going well, i will start building my new frame soon with all the IFS and IRS from the Lexus so RHD just comes with that. I am in the process of putting a 40 Deluxe dash in it right now. Just need to finish up a customer project first, so my projects are kinda of a work on it when i can deal. When i get a bit further along i will try and post some pictures. John

Here's an interior shot of the same COE that I posted earlier. It was converted to RHD, but I don't know of all the details.
By the way, Ford frames are stamped identically on right and left side to accomodate for RHD. The same mounting holes for the MC, the steering box and pitman arm that are on a regular LHD are also stamped on the right side of the frame.
Nice I love the interior its simple.
I have a dj5 jeep RHD but I dont know how the coe would do it that frame.
I would love build my coe on its frame but the wheel base and track are really short

Gonna build my new frame from scratch using 6x2 tube and then reuse a couple of the original crossmembers. That way i can build the kickups i need to suit the new IRS/IFS and airbags. The engine is going behind the cab.
Tilt column, air, Steer, power windows, cruise, full manual shift or auto trans etc. I have been collecting parts for this for a while now and getting close to be able to get into it properly soon. Cant wait. John
I'm Interested in seeing your build pics and progress.
I've got a 54' COE that I'm going to work on in the future.
I haven't decided on a doner yet myself.
Good Luck!
UPDATE:
Hello guys!
Well I got tired of sitting around and Started looking for suspension for the COE.
An old Astro Van was given to my brother for free so I asked him to let me have the Subframe.
We went to look at the astro and messed with it,I found out that someone removed most of the subframe bolts So all I had to do was remove 2 more and it would be free.
We removed the subframe brake, pedals,MC Steering column and Streering wheel.
I been thinking of changing the astro discs with the dually discs with the 8 lug pattern.
(Stu I will need your expert opinion on this)
If this does work i will Use the dually rear end and 1 ton frame.
If the 8 lug swap doesnt work I will use the f1 frame and chevy rear end from a donor van that has the centered rear end pumpkin and keep it 5 lug all around.
Confused yet????
I am planning to use a 300 6 or a ford six of some sort,if its too expensive I will look for a SBF.
If not Ill end up with the chevy van donor truck drivetrain(v6 auto I think.
Well I will try it and I will try my best to make it work in a safely manner.
I dont want to become a member of the astrovan forum just to ask that question.
Hey Stu finish telling you about the time you slept at a...
I want to know now
