Been back in a Superduty for 3 weeks now....I ain't playing this time around! Ordered me a Redhead steering box, the Moog problem solver kit which includes all the BJ's, all the tie rod ends & got me a Pitman arm too...Also ordered up (4) new Bilsteins... ...I am determined to have me a good steering Superduty this time around and after coming from the Dmax with pretty awesome steering, it's pretty noticeable.
If I am missing anything...let me know, running stock height w/ 265's.
I'm not sure if you have a stabilizer shock up front but if your that determined to have perfect steering why not throw dual stabilizers on it. I just replaced my shocks and stabilizers two days ago and that made a world of difference in handling.

My opinion is that the Chevrolet/GMC steering is far TOO responsive. You can't sneeze or reach over to smack the old lady without swerving out of control.....
I spent many years driving GM trucks and deduced that my suspicions of them being over-sized El Caminos are well founded. They handle too much like cars.

Seriously. Have you driven a newer GM truck? What a pain in the butt. I'm a steering wheel drummer/guitarist and I love the fact that I can ride the cymbals and play through 18 frets and not cross any lines.
For you sick minded people, get out of the gutter!

I did the dual stabilizer shocks on a previous SD I had and it seemed the steering wheel didn't always return back to straight after a turn. End links seem fine but I will probably do those too.
Haha! Love it, Cody! I agree with you... at work, it's an F-150 and a Tahoe. Both are WAY too soft and touchy. I don't know how anybody works with those! My truck is solid... period. And I can play guitar and reach for stuff without crossing the lines as well. In the F-150 or Tahoe, I can't. I drive like I'm DUI!
As for other suggestions to the OP, make sure your hubs don't have play in them. A worn out hub bearing with feel like a BJ if it's bad enough. But as for the rest, you've got it covered except for maybe a sloppy steering column. They'll pick up a little bit of play over time but not enough to really justify a new one IMO.

thanks for the reply boy thats a lot of $ do all the parts match the originals or are the rods made differently to except replacement ends without changing the whole bars ? i know the moog ball joints have grease fittings do all the rest of the ends? usually return to center is a caster issue.
