i have a 96 with a 5.0 can i gut my cats?

Yes but you'd be much better off replacing the two with one high-flow cat. Saves the environment but gives you the power and sound you want.

Actually the answere would be NO!

In '96 Ford switched to the OBD-II computer, I beleive there are more o2 sensors.

Like in my case a Pre-95 4.9L only has one o2 sensor, but on my '96 I have 3 all together, one on each monifold and one inbetween the cats.

Talk to a professional before you do this or youcan run into major problems.

yeah go with the hi flow cat. damm sprocket are you everywhere?? you're as bad a strangeranger!
