On this Memorial Day weekend, lets' think about the brave men and women, who gave their lives so you could have your freedom.
Think about the families, who gave a son or daughter to that cause and think of all the people who are now free because of the sacrifices that American soldiers have made throughout history, many of them giving their lives for it.
Let's Celebrate Memorial Day for what it stands for and not as a 3 day holiday weekend. - "Garret Watson"
Good Evening Donna.
Nothing wrong with doing that Donna. Sometimes I have to start my day over a few times. I just don't go completely back to bed.
Did a bunch of 4x4 driving today in the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Miles & miles of 4x4 roads to travel. Didn't see any big horn sheep it was too hot for them to be out. They also went back to bed until it cools off tonight. It was 102 degrees today. Spring is here. Suppose to cool off tomorrow & Monday then back into the 100s.

Nothing wrong with it especially when you have a migraine from hell! I didn't get to spend much time laying down with a cold/wet washcloth over my eyes, but it helped a little. We went to our neighbors for a BBQ dinner & I had a glass of wine. Well, that didn't help the headache, but atleast I slept great lastnight!
I wish I was in Arizona so I could visit my uncle & 1/2 brother & sister & enjoy the hot weather! It's raining & snowing (occasionally) here. On the plus side to all the rain/snow, we do need it! (makes for a great wildland season later)
We may be making a trip out to Cresent Valley (don't even know where that is) to look at some property that we're going to buy, as well as to visit my cousin who want to sell us his property as well. Busy, busy, busy!!!
Have a great weekend...what's left of it.
I went to Reno to pick up some friends from the airport. I left at 4:30 and when I got back around 7:00 we had three inches of snow. No snow when I left. It was pretty nice out so I thought Reno would be nice.... NOT! Cold and raining up there. Gotta love living in the mountains.

Donna, don't even waste your time looking in Crescent Valley NV. It is the Meth Capital of Eastern Nevada. It is located by Beowoe. West of Carlin NV. We lived in Carlin & had a friend in Crescent Valley she was on the Town Board. Crescent Valley is in Eureka County. Basically has no Police, only an Elementary School. Cortez Gold Mine is there but most of their people live in Battle Mountain or Carlin/Elko. We are friends with Ken Jones & his wife, the Sheriff of Eureka County, I knew the Chief of Police in Carlin, & they tried to get NDI & the State to do raids but unless it happened in the last year it hasn't happened. It is so deep that there are local officials involved in the problem. They have labs all over there.
Our friend, lasted 6 months of a four year term & resigned & sold out & moved.
Now Bruce can blast me once again, for trying to give you a heads up, so you don't get into something you'll regret.

Thanks for the heads up Craig! I know that you & Bruce have your differences, but I also feel that (like you), Bruce genuinely cares about his friends/accuantances. I'm pretty sure that anyone from the FTE probably wouldv'e given me a heads up regarding Crescent Valley if they knew about the area.
Although "we" as FTE members may not always get along... we are kinda like one big, derranged (or maybe that's just me - lol) Ford family!
Thanks for looking out for me & my best interest.
I know people that live in cresent valley.they are not meth heads. but ive never seen a town that craig speake's of when ive been up there. Thank you Dave. I agree that drugs are everywhere (been there/done that) however, it's just a matter of picking your friends more wisely, staying away from your past friends, & just being strong enough to saying No. It's nice to have a couple different opinions on Crescent Valley. I've never been there before & I have relatives that live there that I've never met either. I know they'd love for us to move there, but my hubby is just looking for some investment property for the future right now - doubt we'll ever live there unless it's 10 years from know. LOL!
