Jim, whats this flanger thing your talking about? I got an air compressor here, it sucks but it gets the job done.

It puts a little lip around the hole so that the patch panel can sit flush with the surrounding metal.
The punch side makes holes in the edge of the patch so that you can run a sheetmetal screw through some of the the holes and into the lip you've formed to pull the patch down.
Then you can make a plug weld through the other holes to attach the panel.
Remove the clamp screws and weld those holes up too, and you're done except for seam sealer.

I am pretty sure I am slowly killing brain cells because of the seam sealer I used on the interior panels on my truck.

That tools seems great. I always wondered the proper way to weld panels together. Josiah have a funky smell left from the seam sealer or what?
