Hey all. Anyone have experience in ct driving used cars back home. I just managed to get a 1990 f250 diesel for $400 from a fellow fte member on here that was too good a deal to pass up. CT makes it a real pain in the *** to get used vehicles back having to have title when you get temporary registration. I don't feel like making the trip twice to get the truck. I figure i could do the whole two car convoy thing without plates, i know it is better to drive without plates, then plates from some other vehicle. Any advice / experience? Taking back roads etc...

Go with a trailer? I'd volunteer the tow vehicle.

Tanner the best thing to do when you're running without plates is to just drive like nothing is the matter. If you act like you belong... then you belong.

But as stated the best thing to do is take a trailer and go get it.

Where do you have to get it from Tanner?

Down this way MANY police have the license plate cameras on their cars.
More than a few people I know have been impounded while driving vehicles that unbeknownst to them were unregistered, invalid insurance, etc...

A trailer is the safest bet if you don't have a friend with a flatbed.

Its in middletown. Andy If i had trailer had a trailer i'd go for it. Anyone got a trailer?

I was kinda hoping not to get it towed or anything to save cost wise. Even with expensive diesel its cheaper to buy it. I'm gonna talk to my dad too and see what he thinks. I may be able just to leave it and come back next week with temporary plates if worse comes to worse. I never though about the license plate cameras.
