The truck is here. Got the drive it home. The po The carpathia followed us to my house and took her plates off when we got there. Thats also the name of the truck. As sailer's say you don't change the name of a vessel or you get bad luck so its to stay that way. Drives good. Good years of repair receipts going back from 2002. Going to swap the coolant over when i get some money, and get its registered and insured. Also going to do some rust preventative maintenance where the paint has rusted through. The brakes are a bit too spongy for my taste so i'll be bleeding the lines soon. I guess that is caused by air in the lines. One thing i do have to say is the idi engines are nearly silent. Oh it also has a transcooler other than just the radiator one, which is excellent!
You need a new chapter sticker now as your is now partially covered. Box looks mint.
i know i just noticed that lol. and yeah, it was $75 on CL, drove upto enfield today and i had a hard time getting it open so i offered him 70 and he said ill take 60. weirdest deal ever but im not complaining haha! turned out a spring just needed be hooked back onto a latch, going to polish the top tomorrow and it will look brand new.
Today I:
Re-plumbed the basement to drop some pipes out of the bays and replace a leaking valve.
Pulled a new home run to the outside motion sensor light and recp. by the basement door. (it was run diagonally across the ceiling in well pump wire! eek)
Sheetrocked the basement/laundry ceiling.
Dragged my 17" drill press down there and leveled it.
Moved the logs I cut up out of my parking space and over to where they'll be split.
Set a bunch of 3" bluestone stepping stones over where I buried the drainage and leader drains.
Did 3 loads of laundry.
Painted the gas main and basement door with the leftover gray urethane paint from the porch.
Greased the chassis and driveline on my truck.
Took apart the dash to replace the burned out brake warning light.
Evening all.
Jim I got tired just reading all you did today.
All I did was change the wife's oil and pull a bolt out of one of my rear tires and put a plug in.
Miles the box looks good, just let me know when you what a new sticker.
Congrats on the new ride Tanner, now we just need some photos.
Man Jim you are a dynamo!! Every time I see you on here recently you've done a long list of things! I just washed my truck bought a pizza & had Mother's day dinner with mom. Although you can't tell by looking at the truck, it's covered in pollen again
what does everyone suggest to get a seized wheel off? ive tried lifting it up and dropping it down, loosening the lug nuts just a little and backing up a few feet, a mallot, PB blaster and a mallot, my boots, etc... back left wheel just wont come off
