Exhaust sizing question

Some of you guys will likely know this rather quickly. The muffler shops with the hydraulic expanders for pipes - do they also have the capability to make ends smaller, or only expand them ? I have about a 50 thousandth or so difference on one of my fittings .... I thought about making some type of sleeve, but that could rust out first or blow out before 2 correctly sized pipes ....

Many do yes. If the shop has the right kinds of benders (most do), and they have the dies, then yes, they can. Why not have the expand the fitting?

I did contact one or 2 shops, they indicate they could expand downward a little bit, sounded like easier to expand outward, but the pipe would need to be OFF the vehicle to get it to their machine. This one happens to be a long pipe with a couple of bends, prefer not to take it apart to do this ....
