strange vibration

Driving down the road and truck start vibration badly. It will vibrate for about 2mins, and then stop. Its done it 3 times. This last time we took it in and got the tires and breaks checked, but they said they couldn't find anything. It Shakes the entire truck and it very loud. I have no Idea what it could be as it happens at random times. This last time I was on the freeway. I tried hitting my breaks and slowing down but it continued. I took an exit and as soon as I turned it stopped. I don't know if that was just a coincidence or if it has something to do with it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

There was a post not long ago just about the same symptoms, it was the guys tie rod ends which broke off right after he got home. Check all steering rods and pitman arm also.

Welcome to FTE, do what Barry said and while your at it you may want to grease the spline in your rear drive shaft if its a long wheel base

Need to get your u-joints checked out. Just got my back u-joints fixed, it was so bad of a wobble that it messed up my pinion seal. My issue was a 'front wheel' vibration from 30 to 45 mph. Other than those speeds everything was fine. Some Brothers suggested it might be the carrier bearing on the drive shaft or some u-joints. It was the very rear u-joints.... drives like new, now.

When I lost a uvch, my truck vibrated terribly. It would then quit vibrating and run fine all day.
Next day same thing. I thought the tranny was going out.
I would check those wire connections at at the valve covers.
Just my thoughts. Jim
