Intermittent Vibration
The last couple of weeks my 04 screw with just under 10k mile has started to vibrate very bad only for a few miles then stop, its only happened 3 times, its been so bad that the hood shakes, for example I was running around yesterday made a quick stop, got back in my truck noticed a little vibe at about 20mph, got on the freeway took to about 60 mph, now its shaking really bad put into neutral coasted a bit, no change in the vibration, tapped the emergency brake and released it to see if that was hung up, it got worse, I coasted off an exit, came to a stop, light turned green, vibration gone, while I was slowing down it felt as if something was dragging me to stop, anybody experince this?, by the way I do get the clunk and shudder at times, but not enough to bother the dealer with it yet
Thanks for any input

Nobody really knows what is going on. The problem that you are describing is SO widespread. Regarding the shudder or vibration on take off or turning. You may want to talk with your service mgr about having the clutch packs replaced in the rear diff. I bought a 04 Screw in December, regretting it since then. Shakes, shudders, vibrates. I have had the truck in for service work five times, only 3900 miles on the beast. Two weeks ago they replaced the clutch packs which did help the shuddering on take offs & turning. To say the least, I am extremely disappointed with the truck & Ford. My truck will vibrate bad enough that you can feel it in the floor boards, pedals, seat, steering wheel, rear view mirror gets blurred, bed visibly shakes, AND because of all of this, the rubber seal/gasket around my rear window now chatters like a monkey on crack. It is to the point that I hate to get in the truck & drive it. I am getting ready to start proceedings to have Ford buy the truck back. The service mgr at my dealership just told me this morning that Ford is scratching their heads, trying to sort this mess out. It is a hugh, widespread problem. They do not know how to fix it yet. Good luck!
