I have a 78 f150 i have been having issues with the truck not starting, just clicking once. I replaced the alternator, battery, solenoid and voltage regulator. The only thing left is the start itself but i don't think it's the problem since it will start sometimes or if i put my jump pack on it. I'm at my wits end with this thing.
All last summer it was hit or miss with this thing starting or not. Any help would be great..
all of the cables are brand new. The ground is on the frame... Should it really be on the block instead? I'll check all of the connections. One more thing...when it does turn over, once in a while on it's own, it is slow turning like it's struggling.

Can timing be an issue?
Definately ground cable needs to be mounted to the BLOCK.
I think i have a ground issue as stated. There is only one terminal on the starter and it is for the positive lead. I do not have a ground wire on the starter at all. Where do i attach the wire to the starter?
