What up guys, to start with, my turbo rebuild went great. If you hadn't already read my other thread "sounds like an ambulance". Anyway, i'm stoked now, she sounds good.
I got my Airtex waterpump in front of me, and i'm atta loss. Theres 2- o-rings, one for the inlet and other for the outlet, however, theres an o-ring and the other one is a square o-ring. For the life of me, cant figure out, which one is for which "let". Any help guys, it be great. Gonna go drain and fil up w/ distilled in the meantime, then drain/remove the old pump...thanks again guys.
Great Job on the Turbo, As for the O-ring I'm petty sure the square one is for the thermostat housing. Did you get the billet housing from strictly diesel? If so you should of got a O-ring with it.
I second that. The square cut one is for the thermostat. I actually went down to the parts store and had them show me one to make sure. I just installed my airtex about two months ago.
Thanks guys. I had forgot, i bought one a few months back, found the package, and sure enough, the square cut goes for the thermostat. What threw me off, was there was no "lip" for either of them, UNTIL i put the thermostat in first, then walah....newb.
The billet housing came from ebay, for a grand total of 10 buks, included shipping.
Got everything all "buttoned" up. Man, whatta relief, so far, so good. I got impatient, and found a "dealer" close by, that happened to have the turbo rebuild kit, in stock (they're a manu fact. of garrett), so ran up there, got the kit yesterday, rebuilt her, last night, and installed it then. Then, first thing this morning, finished it up, and just got done with the waterpump install. So far, turbo hang'n in there, and no leak from the pump nor the plugs.
While in there last night, did a few "prev. maint", tubed up the pass. side fuel line, thats notoriuos to leak, and 470ohmed the plug for the ebpv plug. Cant see accomplishing any of those, with all that crap in there.
Glad to hear Tim, now kick back and grab a beer, or a coke if not old enough, lol..
lol...got my coke, and my jack....truck treated me like a tramp today, i'm beat.
You know, its not all that bad, the things i did last few days, and whats in the sig. If you can overcome the overwhelming thought, when opening the hood, its somewhat straightforward.

I bet you are, busy two days to say the least, glad everythings good now. I had a bout with my truck, hopefully I'm done for a while. It is straight foward and being hooked up with FTE helps a bunch with your convidence level, no doubt.

You got that right, Poppa. B.s-ing, with my neighbor that night, after i fixed the truck, and he mentioned, "did you ever consider, what the stealership would've charged, for the jobs you accomplished". I could'nt phathom the price, probably 1/2 the price i paid for the truck (6500).
rat, no ebay link bud, bought it few months back, and jumped all over it.
