Leg room? what's that? I haven't had leg room in a vehicle since my uncle traded off his 72 sedan deville...used to drive him around town...sweet, no twisted legs or feet.
Thanks - those look really good. I'm pondering changing mine out but would prefer some without built-in headrests so it looks a little closer to original. Not sure what they'd be, but I'm looking.

HA HA - you got me Jeff - you're starting to follow in Arctic's footsteps!! Got disc brakes put on the front last week - but - after I get something done about a seat replacement - I'M DONE!!!
when it comes to old cars/trucks are you ever done?
They're like houses - they're done when you sell it and move onto the next one. And there's always another deal to be had..... I was just planning to do a top-end rebuild on my 360; new manifold, carb, headers, etc but then I went out and bought a 390 long block last night. So, there went my seat money
I THINK ANYONE WOULD TAKE THE 390 !! IS IT A REBUILT LONG BLOCK OR NEEDING REBUILD ?
Pulled out because it dropped at least one valve seat (#2 and #7 were dead holes but he only pulled the one head to see why). Turns over by hand just fine and included a virtually new Motorcraft distributor; just missing the pan and carb. Since I really only needed the crank and rods I was pretty happy to strike the deal at $180.
why not just rebuild the 390 l/b and swap the bolt ons
That's probably what it will look like but I need to pull it apart and see what's what before I make a plan. I'm a big fan of building engines without time constraints and when I told SWMBO that I was going to look at an engine last night her questions revolved around dates that she needs to be able pull her trailer to events. So, I've got that going for me..... Plus, I'm just getting into my busy travel season. The good news there is that if the best shop to do FE work is somewhere else in the NW, I'll probably be going there on business anyway so I can just drop parts where I need to.
very nice seat mod! im looking for something like that. i went to my local pull a part and all they had was junk! i guess ill keep checking out ole craig and them. i know there are deals to be had . must be paitent grasshopper
I got very lucky, my seat came from a place that makes ambulances & it still had the Ford plastic wrap over it dated 1996. Dad got it around 1997 to put in his farm truck & when I came home & saw it I had to have it.
