I have a 2000 Limited Excursion, with power driver's seat. I was wondering if I could buy some kit or have the memory seat and possibly mirror option added to my truck. Everytime my girlfriend drives the truck, she moves the seat forward, up, and moves the tilts- She also moves the mirrors all over the place. I thought that I could just "deal with it", but it is starting to get old... ya know.... (I can never get the seat back to the way I like it)
If anyone has ideas, or has ever done this, any info would be greatly appreciated.
My 98 limited explorer has the memory seat option, and it comes in great handy with the girlfriend, but she's always drivein the excursion, and I'm stuck witht the explorer...
I hate to say it, but Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs are the only ones I know of that have that option. It could probably be installed on the Excursion, it would just take some work.
My 02 Excursion has the seat memory - might be able to find the parts from a newer year from Ford
Oops!
I forgot that for the 2002 model year, memory seats were an option on the Limiteds, not sure about the XLTs though. This option continued through the years until the end of production. Sorry, didn't mean to lead the flock astray...
I'll have to check with Ford! I know that Ford has many vehicles from previous years, and new year vehicles equipped with Memory Seats, I guess that for the 2000 Limited Excursion, they didn't put them in!
i added the heated seats on mine. went to ford, bought the buttons, and the side panels for the seats. looks factory now.
Which buttons did you buy? The ones for the memory seat module that go in your door? My '03 Eddie Bauer has the power seats and I'm wondering if all I need is the module in the door.
