97 explorer drivers side window

97 explorer drivers side window
the master switch will let the other 3 windows down, but does not let the drivers side down. I have tried to beat on the panel with the switch to see if the motor is bad, and i get nothing....any ideas what this could mean?..

Have you checked the switch assembly to see if it is providing power to the motor assembly? If you end up pulling the door panel, you should also check for power at the power window motor. With couple of test leads you could try to power the window motor to see if it operates both directions as well.
