Hey guys been awhile since I posted. I finally got the new clutch in my 97 4.0. And I'm driving around today and boom, I fall back cuz my seat broke. So now I'm leaning forward on a half hour commute. Is there any repair I can do to fix this? It's only the recline and its a regular handle not electric. Id rather not get a new one from a junkyard cuz my seats are cloth and in immaculate condition. Any help?

you will have to remove the seat, take off a few hog ring clips and peel the cloth back to see the latch and stop mechanism. Dont be suprised if you have to weld a new bracket for the stop.... if you luckey, you need a new bolt to replace a broken pin.. but possible need reinforced / welded.

thats not bad i guess id rather have the slight inconvience of that instead of having a dumb looking seat lol. but how would i go about getting to these mechanisms like peeling hte cloth back without damage, is it just an easy kinda roll up/pull up kinda thing?
