power window

Ok guys looks like everybody here is a lot smarter than me so ill let u have a shot. Rear passenger window will only go up. I tried new motor, same problem, swapped switch with other back door the problem stayed on the same side. Drivers main switch to that rear window does same thing, up but not down. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you hear the window motor coming on when you hit the button? Maybe a loose wire.

I check it with a meter and get 13v when I push the up on either the back door switch or the driver switch. But nothing when i push down. I just got done cleaning all the contacts on the main driver door buttons still no change.

It sounds like a wire in between the switch(s) and the motor is loose or pinched. Can you do a continuity test?

Same one I had problem with last summer. I changed switches from other side, changed motor from front door, nothing worked.

Ended up being broken wires in the wire boot that you see covering the wires when door open. That door is used more then the other side, but still beyond me why 1 wire completely cut, and 2 frayed.

Also tight spot to work in to crimp new connectors on, and heat sink, tape in. Have fun.
