Be careful when replacing ICP sensor

Don't lose the rubber grommet/gasket on the pigtail. I was cleaning it then next thing I know it's gone. I looked everywhere and could not find it o I put some elec tape on it to keep grime out. I'm sure I will find it in the valley some day.

Aldo if the ICP feels loose when threading it in it is because you got one for a 6.0. they look exactly the same but the threads are about 1 mm smaller on the 6.0

Good advice, I noticed a few people taking about buying cheap ICP's on ebay. I'm glad I bought the right one from the dealer...

Yeah after reading I made sure I got oem ford

I did this a good while back and ended up using the grommet off of the ebps. It is the exact same, or at least looks the same!

Thought about that but didn't do it. Might do it sometime. There is no as much dirt or oil around there.

x's 2 on all of that. I bought one of ebay (by the Ford part number) and it had the wrong threads but came with a thread adapter. It almost killed me when it went haywire on 24 mile bridge that doesn't have a place to pull over. Quickly ordered one from Clay and I lost that grommet putting it on. Stole the one from the ebps and put electrical tape on the ebps. No problems since.
