Hey everyone,
so I was told a clunk I have may be my sway bar but checked it out and my sway bars are fine. HOWEVER, I did notice my tie rod can twist when I twist it with my hand about half an inch and it makes a clink noise. Is this normal?
I'm thinking the sound I here when going over bumps would be a broken shock? but kinda sounds like the tie rod.
no liquids coming out of the boots.
is there anyway to check for a broken shock besides taking it off the truck and trying to compress it?
Anyone else have any idea what this noise could be?
I here it in the truck and it sounds like it is coming from both sides of the truck but not at the same time, it is a clunk sound coming from the front of the car usually AFTER going over bumps, i'll go over a set of bumps and usually when my car is straightening itself after the bumps is when I hear the clunk.
Sounds like your tierods. My truck does the same thing. Loud clunking noise when going over the smallest bumps. Is their alot of play in the steering wheel when going down the road?
