Would this be a good plug to use for the bumper mod? Marinco On-Board Charger Inlet 15A 125V On Board Charger Inlet - 150BBI - BoatersWorld.com

You guys have convinced me. I believe that I'm going to do the bumper plug mod.

I just have mine shoved though the grille, then I just flip it up and shove it back though another hole.

Well, I'm going to do the marineco plug bumper mod thing, and my question was specific to that. I went back and read it and I now realize that I should have specified. Whoops.

You should have the unused holes on the inside of the bumper (used for the reinforcing plate on the broncos) that should accomodate a tywrap or two.

buckhammer, I have the grill and lights out of my truck. If you want I can take some pics on the stock location and show you where mine is. If you are going to cut the plug in to the bumper, just coil it up and zip tie it somewhere. You could even cut it off to shorten and put a plug back on. It is really up to you. If you want those pics I can send later this afternoon. let me know.

Yeah. I'd like to see pictures if it's not too much trouble. I haven't bought anything or cut anything for the bumper mod yet. I haven't wholly decided on doing the bumper mod, especially when I'm going to have to replace the front bumper at some point because it's got some major cancer on the bottom of it. If anything, I'll probably wait to do the bumper thing until I get a replacement.

If you can't see these then click on the link at the bottom of my signature and you should be able to see them there.

3rd pic is where it zip tied to support for header panel
4th is how it comes through core support
5th is from under the truck looking up. It is ziptied to the top edge of the bumper in the holes that are already there
6th is how I keep my plug from under the truck tucked inthe bumper. A sister pic to the exterior view of pic 1.

No problem. just hope it helps. By the way, I see bumpes on craigslist all the time so it should be easy to find when you need to replace yours.

I was thinking about getting a custom front bumper, actually. Probably a Ranch Hand. Yet another idea that's waiting for the funds to catch up. I'm employed, now, though, so that should allow some more stuff to get done.
