Does anyone know if there is a common problem with a 2003 6.0 check engine light coming on. I have had it scanned everytime it came on and each time a have replaced the sensor that it indicated egr valve, mas, map, and know it has done it again. The best I can describe it is at a constant speed its almost like the truck bogs down sputters a bit then cleans itself up and runs fine for 20 miles or 200 miles it has done it empty and pulling 8,000 lbs . I had my mechanic scan it and it checked everything from the cruise control to the turbo and all it showed was the map sensor but that didn't clear it up . I know it could be many different things but I was just wondering if anyone had expierienced this with one before. thanks
So you have replaced the MAP, MAF, and the EGR valve?
How dirty was the EGR valve? Did you clean out the MAP hose and the EBP tube also?
Code numbers would be good to post.
yes replaced all 3 , the egr was beyond black , replaced the map hose but not the ebp hose which hose is it ? only had the truck since november so I'm still trying to get to know it . Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. gonna scan it again today and will post them later thanks for your reply.

Agreed.
I don't think MAP sensor failures are very common, especially not multiple failures. Check the hose from the MAP sensor to the intake manifold and see if it's cracked, loose, or plugged, and check the fitting where it goes into the manifold itself to see if it's loose or damaged. Some are only a "press fit" and can easily be repaired by tapping the manifold and replacing it with a barbed fitting.
