My OEM boots on the bottom side of the tubes have a wire ribbing on the outside of them....I notice that yours do not....is this wire necessary? I cannot see it doing anything in the form of collapse prevention.

Anyone know what the wire is for?
I went for the RED
They use it on the OEM because the boots are so thin, fewer ply, weaker material. Since we use more ply, and the the reinforcement is aramid/Kevlar mix in a tighter weave it is much stronger.
