Hey fellow strokers...
well i pulled and cleaned my egr valve today. it was nasty but not as bad as i was expecting it to be. cleaned her up and wraped her up in new rings and slapped her back in. good to go.
While i was under the hood i noticed a very small hole in my upper intercooler boot. i didnt feel any air comeing from it while running but it needs replaced before it catches me in a bad spot. anyone have any info on good replacements or stay with stock ones.
Also a dumb ?... i need to change my drivers front turn signal bulb... do you have to pull the headlight assm. out or reach way way down there to change it out. i tried a little bit and couldnt get my hand down there to touch anything that i needed too.
Also i have great news... i have only had my truck for a month and i finaly got a oasis report for it when i went and got the egr orings. it was only in the shop 3 times, 1 for a rear main seal, 2 cover plate gaskit, 3 drivers rear door ajustment.
the truck has 164000 miles on it and its a 2006 f350 srw fx4 long bed.
the guy at the service department seamed surprised himself as did i.
i expected to see a little more on there. he told me it sounds like i got one of the good ones. what you guys think.
x2 on the riff raff intercooler boots, I have a set on mine and they are very nice... Plus Clay is a very good businessman and will help you out on anything you need, even if he doesn't have it on his site he can get it
goosehunta,
I was told the same thing last year when went in for a ICP replacement.
Other than the ICP, truck has only been in one other time for #8 injector replacement in 92,000 miles.
04 with 03 engine build date.
I have not looked under my hood (to count boots needed), but is this 4 piece all I would need to replace mine?
also.......if my OEM band clamps are in good shape, do you recommend changing them out or are your boots compatible with the OEM clamps (if you recommend replacement, can you provide ALL sizes I need)?

It depends on the year of your truck. If you have a plastic driver side CAC tube then you will only need a "hot side" kit which has two boots in it. If you have metal CAC tubes on both sides then you will need the complete four boot kit.
Stock clamps are decent quality and unless you stripped one out don't need to be replaced. If you do need some we have them in stock.
