Is anyone running this rim?? Right now I have 285-75-16 on my truck, and I am looking to upgrade to a bigger rim. I found a set of 18x8.5 Eagle Alloys 114s on craigslist with center caps for 200 bucks. My question to you guys is the offset is -20 mm.
Are these rims going to stick out a ton more then my stock ones?? I don't like how trucks look with the tires, rims sticking out 5 inches or anything.
Any help would be great! The guy wants to get rid of these asap! And I really like em, just don't know if they are right.
Here are pics of my rimes and tires... I have EA 079's, 18x9 with 37x13.50x18's... My offset is -12 tried to get you the best pics I could. Figure on adding what, another inch with the -20 offset. The upside to the - offset, is no rubbing the leaf springs when running bigger tires
Thanks man! Yeah I think I will go ahead and pick em up tmrw. For a couple hundred bucks I think its worth it. I am not planning on lifting the truck anytime soon, maybe a leveling kit this summer. So I will prob stick witharound 33 inch tires, and if I level it I will go with 35's.
I think the 18's will look a lot better then the 16s. Plus my stock rims are all pitted and faded.
Good call, the 18's will look great. If you stay with something like a 33x12.50, you should end up right around where mine are, if not even sticking out less. My tires are listed as a 13.50, but are actually around 14.5-15 inches wide. They are squeezed onto the 9 inch rim, haha. Good luck, sounds like a screamin deal
Ya I think i am going to go with something lie 285/75/18 That about a 33 inch tire, and say almost 12 inches wide. I am pretty excited man!!!! I have only had the truck for a month, and haven't done anything to it cause I am so busy with work, so im excited to finally start making it mine!!

the downside with more offset is your hub/bearing units are going to hate you!

Only replaced one hub in 225,00 miles so far. On the flip side, I don't have the tire rub anymore which had ultimately destroyed 2 separate sets of tires. At $1900 for a set of tires, I'll take that chance on the $300 hub fix.
I am pretty sure that the stock wheel is a 0 offset. Basically meaning the mounting flange is in the center of the rim. A -20 offset would put you about 3/4" less backspacing than stock
