Yes there is a lot of Darksiders as you will soon be called. I ain't one of them per say. I do like a few modern safety and comfort upgrades but still like to retain the old school feel of them. Trucks that is.
HAHA!!!! So im on the darkside huh? well i like the old school looks but I like the new school twist added to it. Im still relatively young so I guess thats why I like the mods so well.
My personal tastes is not with the highly modded cars either, especially with the o-ring tires.
Usually what happens is the builder ends up stripping everything from theses vehicles that makes them look like old cars, and they end up looking like a poor copy of a 5 or 10 year old used car.
But hey....that's my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...
Honestly putting my personal tastes aside though....your build looks like fun, and I wish you the best with it.
I'm about to finish up my total rebuild of a 54 tudor where I swapped in a modern engine/trans combo, so I know the effort that goes into one of these builds. It's a big challenge, but oh so much fun.
I have a small block 400 police interceptor motor in it.
This statement might cause some people to look for an engine that does not exist.
There is no such thing as a 400 P/I or P/C (Police Interceptor/Police Cruiser) engine. All 1971/79 Passenger Cars w/400's came with 2V carbs and single exhaust.
In 1975, the 400 was detuned for smog, and became a gutless wonder. The 400 was last installed in Passenger Cars in 1979..
1971/73's Police Cruisers came with the 429 P/I engine. 1974/78's came with the 460 P/I engine. 1978 was the last year for 460's in Passenger Cars.

Sorry never researched it, I don't have alot of knowledge about fords (thats why I came here) so I have been told that was what was in it I know it is a 400 but was told it was a interceptor motor. It is from 79 tho. Thanks for the info.

So if you were to do a highly modded truck what would try and keep to make it look not so like a "poor copy of a 5 to 10 year old used car"?

Also, a small block 400 was a Chevy. The largest small block Ford was the 351W (and even that had a taller deck height that the 289/302)
