Eviction tomorrow
I guess you decided to mix my example post with one or two sentences out of the following post.
Before the E.U., dropping an Austrian rental outside Austria involved taxes and fees. I rented the car in Vienna and was to return it there. I drove to Switzerland and promptly came down with a horrible case of the flu immediately after checking into the Monopol Hotel in St. Moritz.
After two days, I called the rental company in Vienna to see if I could drop off the car in Stuttgart (and catch a flight home from there) without incurring and penalties and/or taxes. The manager assured me there would be no additional fees or taxes.
I booked a flight out of Stuttgart and drove to the airport. At the rental car office there, I called the manager in Vienna to verify what he told me earlier - regular one week price, same as dropping the car off in Vienna. I had the Stuttgart office manager speak with the Vienna manager and he confirmed everything.
A few weeks later, my credit card statement showed an additional $1,300 charge for taxes, fees, and getting my rental back to Vienna. Over the phone, the Vienna manager lost most of his English skills and forgot everything he confirmed with me twice.
The weekly rental was about $600 and they overcharged me $1,300. The ***** had me sign an open credit card slip, so he filled in $1,900 instead of $600.
When the lying ******* called to complain (now in perfect English) he couldn't charge $1,900 to my card, I told him to file an action in California Small Claims Court and hung up. A few weeks later, he remembered our deal and wanted me to pay the original amount. I said my time and aggravation was worth $400. He hung up. A few days later, I agreed to pay $200 after receiving a corrected invoice for that amount.
I actually went to un subscribe from this but my internet connection failed when i sent the request lol
