Thanks for helping in advance and heres mt problem. I have a 01 5.4l when i have the truck running and the ac on i can here the ac kick in very load.Also when i have the heat on you can here the clutch on the ac compressor kick in. Why is that? do i need a new ac compressor? can i just unplug the ac compressor for now so the noise stops just drives me crazy.

 

Start by going to the HVAC forum and reading the FAQs so you better understand what can go wrong.

 

the air conditioner compressor kicks in on most setting including defrost. THe idea is to act as a dehumidifier and take the water out of the air prior to blowing it onto the windwons. thats normal.
