Where can I find a new oem dash pad
FordF350Guy,
Welcome to the forum!
Recently, in this forum, it has been suggested that the original pads are still available through Ford as they were used in F600 models up until 1996, I believe. The only color was black, which could be painted. I am sure they would be EXPENSIVE! Perhaps NumberDummy [a well respected member and retired Ford Parts Manager] could help here.
Not too long ago, there was a new old stock blue one on eBay for approximately $250. Search under eBay Motors [parts and accessories] for: 1980-1986 F150.

Sorry, no Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Ford replaces (updates) part numbers more often than women change their minds.
Because of this nonsense, there are 15 different padded dash part numbers for 1980/86 F100/350's and Bronco's. I typed every one of them into two parts locator sites...zero.

You could still get them from Ford, or at least untill recently.
The trick was to order one for a 1998 F-800. The only color left avaliable was charcoal, so you would have to repaint or dye it.
This part is now going on 14 years old. Ford makes parts obsolete all the time, unfortunately.

Not if you have the 1994 (final edition) of the 1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog, it isn't.
E4TZ-1004282-B0P = Charcoal / Last MSRP: $624.32 (!) // Dealer net cost: $374.59.
E6TZ-1004282-B7U = Chestnut / Last MSRP: $441.45 // Dealer net cost: $264.87.
And since the numbers are the same, I already tried both of them...zero.

Looks like Dennis Carpenter bought the lot from Ford.
The charcoal, E4TZ-1004282-B0P is avaliable through them. $645.
They also have a reproduction in black: E1TZ-1004282-A5A $400
without the part numbers I wouldn't have found the charcoal one there.

Carpenter somehow wangled a deal with FoMoCo, can buy stuff...direct...that FoMoCo is planning to obsolete.
AFAIK, no one else can, because you have to be a franchised FoMoCo new car or truck dealer, and/or a Motorcraft jobber and/or an authorized Ford parts rebuilder to buy parts direct.
AFAIK, Carpenter is none of the above. And, I'll betcha that Carpenter paid waaay less than dealer net cost ($374.59) for those charcoal padded dashes.
And, is E1TZ-1004282-A5A a repop ...or not? I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it's genuine Ford...because it was still available until just recently.
The prices are listed on Ford's parts locator website: MSRP: $315.07 / Dealer net cost: $189.04. If the part had been obsoleted more than a coupla years ago, there would be no prices.

I bought a stock pad (not cover) on Ebay a couple months ago for $60. It was fawn colored and the rest of my interior is a dark blue. I bought some dark blue Color Bond paint (dye?) from LMC. The Color Bond stuff is just a little bit darker than the rest of the trim in my truck.
I bought three cans, though, and got all the interior trim out of an '85 xlt junkyard truck. I sprayed all the trim and it looks pretty good and has seemed to hold up so far.
The only problem I have with the Color Bond stuff so far is that it is very flat and seems to attract all the dust/dirt within my truck's vicinity. A damp rag does a good job of cleaning it, but if it had a little more glossy finish (like clear-coated), dust probably wouldn't stick to it as easily.
The Color Bond stuff does seem to be very scratch-resistant though. I've scraped-up against my door panel a few times with my wristwatch and there isn't a mark.
