The linkages came off the arm of the motor. The arm was still firmly attached to the motor. I don't think there was any way I could have got them back on incorrectly.
I suppose it is possible, though. I'll check it all out in a couple days. I have to make a trip out of town either tomorrow or wednsday, and tomorrow is sposed to be a tad wet.
I really suspect the motor, and have since pretty early on, when I heard the clicking from the intermittant controller.....

Gotcha. For some reason I was thinking the arm came off the motor itself. Don't bother poppin' me in the back of the head, I did it for ya

An el-cheapo VOM can be had from Harbor Freight (The Home of Single-Use, Chinese-Made Tools).

Yeah, too bad it would cost 3 times as much in gas, as the tool would, just to make trip over there........

im having same issue my sons 1994 mazda b2300 wipers dont work, we changed the wiper motor the switch and the wiper governor just makes a clicking sound cant figure it out

Peter, I think you are a little lost,
This is a Ford site and you posted it in 80-86 area!


I think your truck is closer to the 94 Ranger P/U so might try over in that area or try Google for a Mazda site.
