Anyway, is your "chutter" similar to what I described above? If so, you are the only other person I've seen with it on here. It's very strange. And to be honest, I haven't had it in to the dealer to be looked at yet. Hate the inconvenience.....

I think I have the same thing, does it occur between 40-45 mph?? its almost when the engine is lugging. if I speed up or slow down it goes away.

Yes - right around 40-45. For me, it happens everytime on the same roads on the way home. I can keep it from doing it if I lock out 6th gear when going that slow. Just seems like it's shifting early, but I have no idea what that sound is.

Exactly. Pretty sure if I kept the throttle at constant pressure when it happens, it would just keep shaking. i've gotten so used to it now I just immediately let my foot off the gas for a second to make it stop....just like the slip to neutral.

I'm enthusiastic for the new transmission TSB that should be coming out....really hoping that fixes all the issues.

I've also got my battery disconnected tonight to reset the transmission learning process to see if things go back to the way they were for the first few thousand miles.

I lock out 6th quite a bit for speed zones 45 or below (sometimes 50 or below).
The only times I don't is when I forget.
Since I do the above so often, I'm interested to see the results so I'll test this out.

yeah!! that is the sound and the shakes are identical. mine did it while i was in los angeles, ca and carson city, nv. i am back in albuquerque, nm and it has not done it yet. maybe the difference in altitude?? it is around 6k feet above sea level. of course la angeles is just a few hundred feet above sea level. i do not know what carson city is.

Well, I know that Cummins Cowboy and I are in Herriman, UT. This is approximately 5,000 feet altitude....so altitude could have something to do with it.

we are about 1k feet difference, yet it does it for you but not for me in albuquerque. i got to try it again and see if it will do it. either way i am going to take it in because i do not want this happening every time i go to california. besides the chutter can not be good for the engine.

can't help with the driveability issues, but Epic has solved the wind noise by adding some surgical tubing to the door gasket on the drivers side.

I don't have any wind noise in my truck, I do have the chuttering and the pop out of gear problem though. the chuttering I don't think it is a big deal, should it be there NO, is it causing long term issues with the truck maybe but I don't think so.

did a fuel mileage check the other day, for you utah guys, drove up parleys, through kamas over to woodland stopped there and then drove back home to herriman, mostly highway but a little stop and go in there going through towns and at lights coming back home. 18.3 mpg, pretty darn good I say on winter fuel. my 06 dodge would have been lucky to be at 15mpg on the same trip.

I had the same problem on my truck but to fix it I took a can of silicone and sprayed the back of the sensors, it keeps the water out. After washing the water freezes in and around the sensor keeping it on. Now that its getting warmer you might wait till next winter.

Update

Well i called and they are changing the EGR today. They are calling in someone for the fumes in the cab. I asked why it has been a week and they only just started on it. That was when the rental truck was available

Well Wednesday i am pulling a 10,000 pound trailer with there brand new F150 loaner they gave me. It had like 40 or60 miles on it when i got it turned 500 today. Luckly i only have to pull it 10 miles one way.

So they need to fix. Air leak drivers door, rattle in left dash area when stopped idling in gear with foot on brake, recall for BCM, fumes in cab, back up sensors, and CEL they say it is EGR. they have had it sence the 22nd this time.

Thanks i bet a few feel bad about how they talked to me.
Because i think the 6.4 got a few of them also! Just a little later than me.

This is really a nice truck just a few issues. The biggest issues i seem to have is incompetence at the dealer they really have no clue and will lie to your face.
In the end it is Fords fault they dont train dealers better.

I sure hope this truck gets fixed to my standards, i cant go through the buy back again. It really sucked!
