Well i do love my new truck! But it has been in the shop 3 times
Exhaust in the cab is so bad it gives me a head ache. They cant find the leak!
CEL comes on and showed EGR but it checked out ok they said.
Ford said to replace it but gaskets have been back ordered.
Dash rattle front left. They think it is in the brake booster lines.
Cant seem to be able to fix, they have tried 3 times.
The truck chutters sometimes at lower rpms. I thought it was the engine but maybe it the tranny after reading some of the posts
Those damn back up sensors are driving me nuts! Nothing behind you and they are screaming. Happens when it is very cold. They tried to fix them twice.
The wind blows in my drivers door on the highway so loud you have to crank the stereo. They said nothing wrong! It did not do any of this when i first drove it!!!!
And there was a recall for the body control module. They had it for 2 days.
Got a letter from Ford saying it was checked wrong and needs go back in for the recall AGAIN!
The worst part is i bought a Super Duty because i need it.
Yes they give me loaners but a new Lincoln does nothing for me.
Well they told me to bring it in Tuesday, they had a new f150 for me to drive
That was cool. I stopped intoday and my truck was in the same spot i parked it Tuesday. I asked what is going on and they told me they are real busy and cant get to it till MONDAY. WHAT!!!!! Why did you tell me to have it there Tueday? We dont know. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!
Tom, Ford has your number dude. My 08 was a turd, but not like yours. My 11 has gremlins, but not like yours. Maybe you should consider religion. Or consider no religion if you already are. Lol.
I wish we could turn them off semi-permanently. They're useful, yes... but annoying as well. I noticed they turn off automatically when the system recognizes a connected trailer. I wonder if one could build a jumper to fake the system out...

On my truck the sensors are turned off with a trailer that has brakes.
No brakes and it stays on.
Use the dash screen to turn it off and it stays off until the next start.
I don't have any trailers without brakes (anymore) but I'm sure that's true. I'd just like to have the "off" preference persist through multiple starts. Thus, the jumper

...maybe that will be an option when AutoEnginuity releases the 2011 update this summer.
I can tell you as far as the back up sensors go. When it is cold and i wash it
They go off. But i wipe them off and it does not help.
It is moisture inside the sensor not on the out.
I drive a lot and it is a pain in the *** having to shut them off all the time.
My 08 had a button on the dash was not so bad.
I want to shut them off or disconect them. But why cant Ford fix this
I called the dealer and told them it was going to be 11 f outside tonight so wash the truck and leave it out! But they forgot. Next winter maybe they will fix it I also called my salesman and left a message thursday for him to give me a call. He has not returned my call. Mmmmmm. Oh ya already bought the truck!!
My truck does the backup sensor beeping but it is not consistent. Some cold days it does it and on some it does not. Wiping the lens does not always help but sometimes it does. If it is beeping when I back out of my driveway and I take it to the car wash, it will stop...I don't know but I just turn it off. Maybe AE will give us that option as well...
I'd like to hear more about the "chutter" I think I have the same issue as you. "Chutter" is probably a good description. At low RPM's (for me, it is more often as soon as it shift from 5th to 6th gear with very little throttle) the truck kind of shakes just a bit, but I hear a sound that....the only way I can describe it is air escaping from a balloon in very short, rapid bursts. It's much different than the other transmission issues I'm having (hard shifts, occasionally slipping into neutral, hard downshifts, hunting for gears, etc).
Again, I've posted this before, I love this truck. The issues I have a sporadic and minor, just not expected for the money I have in this thing. And, they are getting worse.
Anyway, is your "chutter" similar to what I described above? If so, you are the only other person I've seen with it on here. It's very strange. And to be honest, I haven't had it in to the dealer to be looked at yet. Hate the inconvenience.....
