Got me truck back Thursday. The air leak seems a bit better. Still has rattle in left dash area. They sprayed silicon spray on the back up sensors wont know if that works till next winter.
Have not smelled fumes in cab but it has been windy here.

I still dont like the lower rpm chutter around 30 to 40 mph.

But now the last 3 times we drove it the trans slips like crazy during cold starts while taking off.
Not sure if it is 1-2 or 2-3 shift have Not programed myself to watch that yet.

I mean it is bad like you kicked it in neutral!!!

This is new to this truck!

Once or twice when it was brand new it did this but not so extreme.

This is bad if i was to pull into traffic.

Yes i should start looking! With all my 6.4 issues a few dealers around here dont want to see me. And a few i know better than going too again.

I hope they did not flash my truck while they had it. And that started this issue.

Exhaust in the cab is so bad it gives me a head ache. They cant find the leak!

CEL comes on and showed EGR but it checked out ok they said.
Ford said to replace it but gaskets have been back ordered.

Dash rattle front left. They think it is in the brake booster lines.
Cant seem to be able to fix, they have tried 3 times.

The truck chutters sometimes at lower rpms. I thought it was the engine but maybe it the tranny after reading some of the posts

Those damn back up sensors are driving me nuts! Nothing behind you and they are screaming. Happens when it is very cold. They tried to fix them twice.

The wind blows in my drivers door on the highway so loud you have to crank the stereo. They said nothing wrong! It did not do any of this when i first drove it!!!!

And there was a recall for the body control module. They had it for 2 days.
Got a letter from Ford saying it was checked wrong and needs go back in for the recall AGAIN!

The worst part is i bought a Super Duty because i need it.
Yes they give me loaners but a new Lincoln does nothing for me.

Well they told me to bring it in Tuesday, they had a new f150 for me to drive
That was cool. I stopped intoday and my truck was in the same spot i parked it Tuesday. I asked what is going on and they told me they are real busy and cant get to it till MONDAY. WHAT!!!!! Why did you tell me to have it there Tueday? We dont know. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!
my 02 04 f350 both had back up sensors and both falsed when it was cold, not covered by ice or snow eather

In the last few years i have owned 3 brand new Super duty trucks

The dealer has had my 800 mile 2010 for 9 days now.
Needed a tailgate adjustment and some new tow hooks.
Now it needs a new tailgate (they set it down on the shop floor and worked on it like that) a new stainless sidestep and front bumper caps (I think they cleaned their muddy boots off on them, scratching them).
I have no idea when they will be finished.

I have 8,000 miles on mine and have had 0 problems. None of the issues mentioned on this thread.

Funny you say that my boss says the same thing
I go through more laptops and cell phones than anyone else at our shop

For some reasons these newer diesels dont like my vibes

I'm sorry to hear about your truck's issues. I would probably just move on to another brand. 2 out 3 three trucks being lemons is unacceptable. Research your states lemon law and tell Ford adios. It sounds like you gave Ford more than enough chances to make it right and it seems they can't.

Got it back this afternoon and it seems ok

They said it was the tube by the EGR?
They said the nut was loose

I asked them about that tube 2 times ago because someone from this site mentioned that tube being an issue!

When i asked, oh we checked everything!

I bet that is why i had fumes in the cab and it kept give CEL code EGR failure!

They change the EGR last time and they did not check the tube nut?

Damn parts changers

Well it runs good at this time

Tom, I am really surprised you went back to a diesel after the bad luck 6.4 and good luck V10. I thought you swore off diesels forever. Was the 6.2 in the running for you or were you just praying the 6.7 would be good enough.

It was hard going back to a new diesel with my 6.4 issues

I just love that torque!

This truck is so cool when it runs right, but like the 6.4 it runs differant
Every day. Trans shift differant daily!

The worst part is hearing all the people giving me **** for buying another FORD diesel. My wife is so mad at me

I have had so many Super Duty Diesels way more than on my signature.
And had only one other truck give me issues. My 2000 ate transmissions
But it was one bad truck! Big horse power 38 inch tires, so i can under stand.

Why all of the sudden is Ford stuggling with these diesels.

Most of it i blame on the EPA

But the lack of knowledge at the dealerships is alarming!!
Ford needs to train before they release these truck to us!
We are the damn guiene pigs!

I cant believe that they test these trucks like they claim

One thing that stands out was my air filter freezing solid with snow
On the 6.4 They had to give us all winter grill covers. So all this testing in alaska none of those trucks froze up? Come on

I hear just sell the trucks we will fix them if people bring them back!
Or well will try to fix them. But at least we get them out and make lots of money!

Stop and think my last two Ford diesels were in the shop over 40 days combined before 10,000 miles.

But i am loyal to these damn things

Cant see myself driving anything but a Superduty

Hope you guys can follow my message i am beat! Its been a long day

Every product ships with known problems. Every one. It's a calculated risk.
Otherwise you would never ship.

You try to find the ones that are critical, and you put process in place to handle those that escape, and the ones you didn't find in formal testing.

It sucks when you are the customer on the receiving end.

But it's not possible to test every scenario, just not possible.( like the guys building the engines messing up the crankshaft seal face), you can't test for that or the debris in the ECM.
