Can anyone help? My visor leaked. I got some water in the cab. I have a 2001 F-350 diesel. Something under the dash beeps. It beeps 5 times and theres 5 cycles. Also my relay #1 buzzes. Also my speedometer bounces all over the place along with a flashing overdrive buttom. Also the sound from my radio stops when I put the truck in drive. But I can see that the radio is still on. Or should I call ghost busters???
Just got done, chasing same situation. My GEM module, was getting wet, behind the fuse block panel. Sounds like you need to re-seal the front windshield/replace with new.
Is your airbag light on / works. If its out, doesnt light up, then thats the warning sound your hearing (5 sets of 5 beeps). You need to replace it with a 12v light. After numerous led lights..etc, finally found a 12v led, installed it, and cured the beeping. But, your GEM is acting up, from getting wet, thats why your gauges, blower motor is on,..etc, is going looney, with key not in.
Pull your fuse panel and gem and dry everything out. If you are lucky nothing was ruined and drying it all out will take care of the problem. Otherwise.... you could be looking at replacing the GEM module. And while you are at it, seal off anything in the visor that could cause this leak.
Only reason I suggested it was cause one day after alot of rain, I backed off a curb to leave work and got a bath from the cubbyhole below the overhead display. Just a suggestion!

He mentioned his visor leaked....I am assuming that means the windshield visior attached to the roof.
Visor, ok I was thinking sun visor in cab not one on top of cab. I did have a cab light leak so for future reference when diognosing a water in gem problem check those also before having your windshield ripped out for nothing!

My cab lights were leaking and my GEM got wet. Thought it was the windsheild but when I had the windsheild replace they said that it was not leaking so the only place for it to get water in was cab lights. Resealed the cab lights and no problem since and the head liner never got wet.

Is there a store on-line that sells the GEM modulars?
