yes. its a common issue right after an oil cooler repair. its caused by failing to correctly clean around the oil cooler prior to removal.

Alright, thanks.

And after I replace it, and if it doesnt fix it i should do my HPOP? I wont open it so I can return it if I have too.

I REALLY hope this is it, but you seem to prove yourself over and over again.

Ill post it up tomorrow with what I come up with.

Should it fire up right away? Or does it have to build up pressure again?

keep in mind I do this every day and its how I feed my family. I have to know this stuiff very well or me and mine will starve..

depending on howlong you were cranking on it before depends on how long it will take to start.
and remember redirect the oil flow for the turbo or you will have a big mess.

Thanks again!

Now, would you think Ford would have the updated dummy plugs?

Would that be a suspect?

most dealers stock them too. It could be a dummy plug..... but its once again more then likly an ipr failed.
incase you missed it the first few times....
ipr's fail from improper cleaning around the oil cooler area when a oil cooler repair is made.

Lol, I got that.

Im just trying to think of everything possible, while im into it, maybe just tackle that after I replace the IPR, just to rule that out.

saving 700$ sounds great right about now.

Also, i would like to add, theres no smoke from the tail pipe when cranking, black blue or white none

Which is probably because the PCM isnt allowing the injectors to fire because its not registering 500 PSI?

Well cheezit, you are right. AGAIN.

I put the ipr in, new from ford. Cranked for about 10 seconds with the turbo out and it started up. I only let it run for about 2 seconds before shutting it down. Tonights the girl friends birthday so I will not even be able to speak of the truck. Lol.

Honestly, I think your the best mechanic I know, and hell you don't even need scan tools or even see the damn truck!

Ha, yupp, no more sad things. I hope.

I guess it just had to build up pressure again or something, but now it starts like it always has.
