RKE module needed - 2002 E350
Hmmm, this is far more difficult then I thought it would be!
There must be a short in my remote keyless module... van would not start two days in a row. The module was clicking. Unplugged it and van works but obviously have lost use of the remote key fob.
I'm thinking this might not be the original unit but it's what I have:
TRW part # XC2T-15K602-AA
It has two 13 pin connectors.
Anybody know where I can find a replacement?
(dealer wanted + $300 for one - way too much for my budget)
Thanks for any help w/ this problem.

Sorry for the late reply but I'd try either eBay or one of my fave online outfits LKQ Online. Both will expand your search area to the whole USA---might make your searching a lot easier!
I've used both extensively over the past few years of owning later model E250's with great success.
Hope this helps even a little!

Super... thanks!
Have not heard of LKQ but like what I see upon first having a look.
Update: Another crazy "here today / gone tomorrow"... I opened up the module & had a close inspection of the circuit board with a jewelers loupe.
Couldn't find any sign of a short - so plugged it back in & viola - works perfectly?
I'm guessing something must have wedged against it causing the problem and the act of removing & reinstalling it has solved the battery drain.
Wish all my car problems were so easy to fix!

Both those outfits have worked wonders for me in the past---tend to be my first try when needing/wanting something typically found in any kind of salvage yard.
The process of removing the connector might have jarred something back into place or more likely scraped some terminal corrosion away. A trick to dissolve or remove that gunk is a TINY bit of muratic acid applied with a Q-Tip or something similar. CAREFUL is the watch word but it does work wonders.
Also maybe apply a bit of dielectric grease to the connecter and terminals. IIRC the RKE is located on the inside left body panel and with any sort of interior panels or shelving it can be difficult to access. Better to do it once the right way and hopefully have it working from here on.
Glad that's all it was------nice to save some money and still make a good repair.

Back again!
Am about to reinstall the module after once again pulling & inspecting. I see no problems w/ it.
Have lost use of the remote key fob to lock & unlock doors.
This van does have some sort of aftermarket security devise installed (looks like a hack-job install)
All switches will "unlock". None will "Lock".
Previously this was only the case after key was in the "on" position. Now it's always.
All locks used to engage a few seconds after turning key "on" and unlock all when turning ignition "off". This is not happening anymore.
Panic button on key fob does not "activate" any longer.
Key Fob has known good battery. (only 1 active key fob remote)
Any ideas?
