4r100 question.

I have an 02 F350 with a 7.3 diesel and 4r100. I want to know if there is a way I can keep the trans from shifting out of OD when I get into the throttle? This engine has enough torque to keep it in od longer and get better fuel economy. Low rpm shifting really helps fuel economy. Wish I could do it in all gears ; )

You need a custom tune to do that. The shifting is controlled by the PCM, so changing the PCM's program is how you modify when it shifts.

What Mark said. Or you can take it to a GOOD tranny shop and see if they will change it for you. OR.... (always onther opinion), you can send your PCM in to someone like DP-Tuner and they will reprogram your PCM for you.
