Ain't it fun!! I love pulling up to the newer trucks and turning heads with the sound alone !! Putting my turbo on made me fall in love all over again. We still have our lovers quarrels but my truck and I are mated for life! Lmfao
i hope you guys get this out of your systems soon so you can provide what the overall fuel economy increase is.
i'll keep waiting.probably another couple months by the sounds of how much fun your having lol.
I suppose it would make a difference being you are wastegated? It takes a lot to get mine over 1100 because it just makes more boost so the extra air I'm thinking keeps the egts down.
what kind of boost numbers are you making? Once in a great while ill hit the 17psi mark when towin heavy up a grade (i know its bad for my head gasket but it is literally once in a GREAT while it helps with gettin the load over the hill, ill turn the wastegate back down after the new pump and ip go in) and i am right about the 1050* mark
P.S. i can hit that mark quick or slow depending on the position of the go fast peddle
thats a good temp to stay around for empty... is that peddle floored?
Snapon where is you line tied in at? Pics would help if you got them, cause with the ats system you can T the gauge in to the wastegate line or the snail shell, one is a little faster than the other imo
Pedal to the floor, yes. Tranny went up to 190* today. Boost gauge is faster than I thought, I gunned it a few more times and it jumps fast, I just thought it seemed slower at first.
depends on where the pyro is installed as well. i would slam the brakes if i hit anything over 1150 where mine is at. 1300 will melt an idi not turbo piston. When the turbod them, they had the better pistons. caregul with high number like 1300. I can still see 800 but it is pedal to the floor and going up a section of nearly 14% grade at 60 mph.
