tranny delema
alright so i just got my tranny rebuilt and the guy who did it for me hooked me up with a triple lock converter cuz the old one was junk..and come to find out when i get it home my flywheel/flexplate is a 4 stud mounting and the new triple lock is a 6 stud,,,so what should i di here?
its for my 89 four door bronco, idi non turbo, with the e4od.

My feeling is you have been supplied with a Power Stroke converter. The Stroke flexplate will not fit an IDI so I would think the only option is to get the proper converter.
I don`t know but they may do a triple for the IDI as well.

i think they do but i got this one for a steal and would hate to have to go to maybe a stock converter before trying anyway to use the triple lock....i had even thought about drilling the whole but i was worried about the balancing of it and if it would even hold with being drilled

Bummer alright. I would not be inclined to mess with it unless you could get a specialist shop to do it. As you realize, balance is critical.
See what you can come up with but don`t sacrifice a rebuilt trans for it.
