NEED HELP

does anyone know if a 6 stud mounting flywheel/flex plate will work on a 89 idi non turbo with the e4od ..it had the 4 stud mounting flywheel/flex plat and got a triple lock and its a 6 stud..will it mess up balancing? are what?

If a flew plate from a 7.3 psd is a 6stud you might have luck just switching flexplates because they are balanced by the flywheel and the balancer up front, the flexplate is more ofa adapter that fits in the flywheel. However ive never seen what kinda setup a psd has.

First let me sya that I'm not an auto tranny guy, but from what I understand the 6 bolt converter is for a Stroke, and the 6 bolt flex for the Stroke will not work on the IDI. David or someone with more Knowledge of these E4od will be along to help you out.

see but this has that geared cast iron flywheel and then that thin flex plate the torque converter bolts to and i know i could drill the flex plate out to get it to fit but then the wholes in the geared flywheel wouldnt line up to tightin the TC and u cant bolt the TC to the flex plate then the flex plate and the flywheel to the crank shaft cus thats in fron of the TC
