Cylinders 3,4,5,6 i cant seem to get multiple sockets to fit on the spark plug, looks like the exhaust manifold is in the way, using pliers and a very thin spark plug socket that came with an old moped i got'um all off but #4....i guess i need to take the manifold off.....has anyone else had this problem?...even after i put the new ones in i still have to tighten with pliers, Thanks
manifolds look like they never been changed.....and i can definitely get to and see the plugs, theirs just no room around some of them to put the socket on
Makes me wonder if someone didnt put the wrong plugs in it. Did you have the parts store look them up by application or just take them the # off of an old plug?
If I remember correctly, when I had an FE in my truck, I cut the length of the socket way down just to grab the flats. I also used a socket with the hex on the top.
