2011 bed fit an 04

Will a 2011 8' f350 bed fit an 04 f350.
Found brand new take off almost same exact color
that is complete gate lights and all.
I was not worried much about wiring,
although if it plugs in cool, but more the gas door, neck
and bolt pattern.
Just adding should have noted it's a 8' single rear wheel

It should fit all the way back to the 99. IIRC

Yes been there done that last fall twice using 2011 beds. Direct bolt on, 3 self tap screws required for fuel filler neck. Use the old tail light harness and splice the reverse pigtail in.

Thanks for the replies.
I had conflicting answers from people local.
I may not post much here but have read here a lot.
I own 3 superduty's and a f150.
This forum has helped me out before.
Loads of info and some very knowledgeable people
Thanks again.

While it may work, it really won't look right because the front and rear fender designs will be different. I would stick with '99-'10 beds.

yea the flare lines are slightly different but there is a board member here who did the swap in question and it wasnt nearly as noticable as youd expect..

i say go for it, if you need a new bed.

you are correct, but it is barley noticeable, and it is an 04 and a work truck, so it really don't matter.

Bought bed this afternoon and it's already done. Look 100 times better than it did, color dead on match except for the fact the 04 paint is faded. Now it's going to make me buff the front.

Paid $1600 complete the guy even give me the rear bumper and all the hardware.
Truck was hit 3 days ago, have not even got the insurance check yet. Their sending me $2600. So no complaints here at all.

You were right on the money there , 3 self tapping screws but they had cut their harness and left the whole plug. Mods they were doing to their new utility box. So I cut my harness and soldered in the new style plug while bed was off. plugged right in after I bolted bed down.
