Did you plug the line to the booster? When my booster went bad i would be sitting at a stop light and the pedal would creep back at me. But with the system having vaccum the check valve on the booster should keep vac in it. Charge the system shut the truck off drain the sysetm by pulling a vac line besides the one for the booster. Then pull the bootser line is there a woosh of air?
switch check valves and see if it changes. Is the pedal always hard or does it work once and then not twice? So the pump on the 92 is at 18 right off the pump and the 94 is at 24?
The way its sounds its the pump. When you cahange pullys use a power steering pump puller dont use a regular jaw puller and install it on the newpump by oiling the shaft and useing the bolt and bearing to press it on. Most auto parts stores let you rent them for free. heck even bring the pump in and they might even do it for you. but dont be suprised at the cost of that little pump. mine was around 123 bucks and i didnt have a good core either.
