Vacume pump

Well Then
Ok what should my vacume be at and how do you test it. i know I need a vacume pump gauge. But what reading should I be looking for and where do I hook up the gauge? The reason I am asking is my brake peddle is requiring more pressure latly. I think I have the stock vac pump and I have about 160000mi on the truck.

hook it up on the main line from the pump. it will be a 3/8 rubber line that attached to the "manifold" that is bolted to the inner fender driverside under the intake hose near the mastercylinder.
you should have 18 inches of vacum if i remember correctly.
