Good Afternoon Nevada.
Scott it is a long ways out of your way, believe me. Carson City is the State Capital of Nevada. Located about 30 miles south of Reno & at the bottom east of the mountain that Lake Tahoe sits in.

Only all my life. Both my wife & I are from Nevada. She is a third generation ranch family from Smith Valley & I a fourth generation ranch family from Mason Valley, ie Yerington.
Just a reminder for those that like rocky mountain oysters. The ******** festival is going on next weekend along with a St. Patricks Day parade in Virginia City, NV.
Right on! We go camping at Walker River/Wilson Canyon every year, so we go right by there. : )
My wife's parents built & owned the only store, gas, & propane in Smith. It was on the top of the hill west of Smith. It was called Bybee 4H. It was & is a popular stop for the river campers. It is still there they sold about 4 years ago & retired. A friend of mine owns the property on the river where the wind mill is. He is from Hawthorne where I grew up but is from one of the old Yerington families also.
